Senior IT Business Analyst

Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our client’s Commercial Insurance IT team. In this role, you will work with an existing global pricing tool, supporting ongoing maintenance releases, production operations, and continuous product improvements.

Responsibilities include but ar not limited to:

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and document detailed business requirements

  • Analyze and document as-is and to-be processes as part of requirements elicitation

  • Maintain clear documentation and track ongoing tasks and deliverables

  • Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to investigate operational issues and support decision-making

  • Support test planning, execution, and implementation activities

  • Model business processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Job requirements

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related analytical field, with 5+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong analytical thinker with proven problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, design, quality, and process optimization

  • Self-motivated and proactive, consistently taking initiative and ownership of tasks and deliverables

  • Adaptable and resilient, maintaining a positive attitude in dynamic and changing environments

  • Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Collaborative team player with a strong ability to listen, understand requirements, and contribute constructively to group objectives

  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum-based project delivery

  • Creative and solution-oriented mindset, capable of working cross-functionally to address complex business challenges

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly in professional contexts

 

Desired:

  • Experience in P&C insurance preferred

  • Experience with commercial insurance

 

General Conditions :

  • Start: April 2026 to March 2027 (option for extension for another 6 months possible)

  • Work arrangement: Hybrid, WFH 2-3 days a week

  • Capacity: 80-100%

  • Location: Zurich
